so excited to be starring as Margot in Lucy Hirschfeld’s I Now Denounce You!

I Now Denounce You is a comedic short film about Margot, the maid of honor at her best friend Emily's wedding, who has second thoughts about Emily's upcoming marriage to her dull fiancé Andy. Margot’s toast to the bride and groom at the rehearsal dinner goes sideways, throwing the entire evening into chaos.

I Now Denounce You just had its world premiere at NFFTY Film Festival, and will be available for your viewing pleasure soon!

The Cryptid Tapes

so excited to be playing Goatwoman in Laundry Day Productions’ The Cryptid Tapes!

THE CRYPTID TAPES is a mockumentary comedy with the aesthetics of The Blair Witch Project, the comedic sensibility of Parks and Recreation, and the ooey-gooey center of Sesame Street.

here’s the synopsis: The famously camera-shy Bigfoot shoots a documentary with the help of her fellow cryptids (Mothman, Dover Demon, and Goatwoman) to reclaim her image and prove she’s not a monster once and for all.

Bloody Loafers

so excited to be playing Alicia in Vanessa Csordas-Jenkins’ proof-of-concept short of her feature Bloody Loafers!

here’s the synopsis: We follow bisexual LEYNA as she struggles on the cusp of a potential breakup with her longtime partner, Sam -- who is quite possibly the love of her life. Talking to her best friend ALICIA helps somewhat, but in this dire moment, her hyper-femme lesbian foil ALICE reappears out of nowhere. Alice torments Leyna, making it clear that she couldn't care less about Leyna's relationship issues, all because they involve a man. On top of Alice's return, Leyna starts receiving phone calls from a mysterious and rude stranger who tries to convince her that evidence exists that can "out" Leyna as a straight person merely pretending to be queer for attention, AKA Leyna's worst nightmare. An emotional spiral ensues.

The Root

the starring role in a short film? wow! so excited to be playing Bethany in The Root, produced by It’s A Long Story Productions!

synopsis: Bethany agrees to work on a secluded farm for the near future at the suggestion of a close friend. As she meets the others that reside there, she discovers that they are a group of estranged individuals who divulge information from their guests through therapeutic exercises. While there, Bethany is haunted by a past romantic relationship and is unwilling to open herself up to the group as she gauges their intentions. As her sessions with the group intensify and she falls deeper into their grasp, she is forced to come face to face with her own self-hatred and sexuality.

The Basics Webseries!

The Basics is OUT NOW! watch the trailer HERE and the entire series HERE!

starring and written by Mahayla Laurence, Liz Demmon, Chloe Troast, Jamie Watson, and myself, The Basics is about a group of twenty-something women who shake up the mostly male-dominated world of NYC indie comedy to challenge the notion that they don't belong there. sure, they do brunch and SoulCycle every weekend, but they also grab a suggestion at the top of an improv set like girl-bosses. don’t underestimate that “basic” girl you know... she just might surprise you.

check out our website: https://www.thebasicswebseries.com! and of course, follow The Basics Instagram for bloopers, updates, behind-the-scenes content, and sneak peeks.

check out our write-up at No Film School, our review at Comedy Cake, on BroadwayWorld, and our feature on Glamour’s January must-watch list!
